NIT Mizoram Recruitment 2024: Apply for Non-Teaching Staff (Junior Accountant) on Contract Basis

National Institute of Technology Mizoram is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the engagement of Non-Teaching Staff – Junior Accountants on a Contract Basis. Interested and eligible candidates can apply using the prescribed Application Form provided in Annexure – I, available for download from the NIT Mizoram. A. Details of Position, Minimum Qualification, Experience & Other Eligibility Criteria:

Position: Junior Accountant (On Contract)

Essential Qualification:

• First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with Honours in Accountancy / Finance OR First Class Bachelor’s Degree – BBA (Finance) or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute.
• OR Master’s Degree in Commerce/ MBA (Finance) from a recognized University or Institute with excellent academic records.
• Knowledge of Computer applications such as Word processing, Spreadsheet, and Computer-based accounting software.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

• Certification in Tally Software/ Accounting Software with at least 1 (one) year of experience as an Accountant in Govt./University/Institution/reputed Firms.

Remuneration:

• Consolidated Remuneration per month: Rs. 35,000.00

Age Limit:

• Not exceeding 30 years.

Job Responsibility:

• Operation, maintenance, and Book Keeping of Accounting Software.
• Preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statement.
• Operation and maintenance of PFMS and ERP.
• Monitoring performance and ensuring proper Accounting Procedures of the Institute and reliability.
• Troubleshooting of Accounting and its Software related problems.

B. Period of Engagement:

The duration of engagement of Contractual Staff – Junior Accountant shall initially be 1 (one) year, with the possibility of extension based on performance review and Institute’s decision, after a mandatory break in service. However, as per the Statutes of National Institutes of Technology, Contractual Staff engaged shall have no claim of permanency at any stage against the regular post(s) which they are engaged on a Contractual basis.
