Banaras Hindu University (BHU) invites ONLINE applications from Indian Citizens for engagement on various teaching positions on a contractual basis at the Bharat Adhyayan Kendra. This engagement is for the academic session 2023-24, with the possibility of extension if required. The deadline for online submission of Application Form is 01.03.2024, up to 5 PM (IST).

Position Details:

• Position: Teaching Associate
• Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- per month (fixed)
• Tenure: For the academic session 2023-24, extendable as per University rules
• Maximum Age: 70 years

1. Teaching Associate – Veda: 01 vacancy (UR)
2. Teaching Associate – Sanskrit Literature: 01 vacancy (UR)
3. Teaching Associate – Indian Culture & Civilization: 01 vacancy (OBC)
4. Teaching Associate – Philosophy & Religion: 01 vacancy (SC)

Essential Qualifications:

1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade at the Master Degree level (M.A./Acharya) with specialization in the respective fields.
2. NET qualification as per UGC norms.
3. Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge of Sanskrit, Hindi, and English languages.
2. Proficiency in Computer Typing and DTP.
3. Translation skills from Sanskrit and English to Hindi.

General Instructions to Candidates:

1. Engagements are purely on a contract basis for the current academic session, with the possibility of extension.
2. Eligibility and criteria satisfaction will be considered as of the last date of online application submission.
3. In case of disputes, the decision of the University will be final.
4. The University reserves the right to withdraw or modify advertised posts.
5. Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled candidates at the Master’s level.
6. Original certificates/mark-sheets verification is required during the walk-in interview.
