The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment (KSCSTE), through its esteemed Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI), is on the lookout for dynamic, qualified, and committed Indian nationals to join its multidisciplinary team. This team is dedicated to pioneering research in tropical forests and forestry. We are thrilled to announce a vacancy for the position of Registrar, which will be filled on a regular basis through Direct Recruitment/Deputation/Internal Deputation.



Key Appointment Details

  • Position: Registrar
  • Salary Scale: ₹68,700 – ₹1,10,400 (Pre-Revised)
  • Age Limit: Applicants should not be more than 55 years of age as of the notification date.
  • Initial Tenure: 5 years, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
  • Number of Vacancies: 01

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A Postgraduate degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
  • Applicants must bring a minimum of 15 years of administrative experience within State or Central Government institutions/organizations/Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), with at least 10 years in a senior officer role.
  • Candidates with an MBA, LLB, or experience in R&D within the governmental sector will be given preference.
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Personal Management and Industrial Relations is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Current employees of State/Central Government or PSUs are eligible for deputation.
  • Internal candidates from KSCSTE systems may be considered for Internal Deputation.

The Registrar plays a crucial role as the head of Administrative and Technical Divisions, offering guidance and advice to the Director on all administrative and technical matters. The ideal candidate will be a strategic facilitator, aligning with the institute’s goals and coordinating various activities to promote its development.

  • Maintaining and safeguarding all official records and documents.
  • Managing the recruitment, appointment, and dismissal processes for all employees.

  • Facilitating effective communication within the institute and with external government departments.
