The Government of Andhra Pradesh spearheads a range of scholarships tailored for students domiciled within the state. These scholarships encompass a variety of benefits, from reimbursing tuition fees to covering maintenance charges and providing other crucial allowances. The primary aim of these initiatives is to provide financial assistance to students hailing from various communities, including SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, and Disabled welfare sectors, thereby facilitating their integration into the mainstream educational system.
1. Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC, ST, BC, and Disabled Welfare Students, Andhra Pradesh
This scholarship is tailored for students hailing from SC, ST, BC, EBC, and disabled welfare categories, currently enrolled in classes 5 to 10. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Belong to SC/ST category with a family income not exceeding INR 2 Lakh annually.
- Belong to BC, EBC, or Disabled category with a family income not exceeding INR 1 Lakh per annum.
- Maintain a minimum attendance of 75% at the end of each quarter.
2. Post-Matric Scholarship for SC, ST, BC, and Disabled Welfare Students, Andhra Pradesh
This scholarship is aimed at students from SC, ST, BC, EBC, and Disabled welfare categories pursuing studies from class 11 to postgraduate level. Key eligibility criteria include:
- Belonging to specified categories with a family income not exceeding INR 2 Lakh (for SC/ST) and INR 1 Lakh (for BC, EBC & Disabled).
- Maintaining a minimum attendance of 75% per quarter.
3. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority Community Students, Andhra Pradesh
Open to economically backward minority community students in Andhra Pradesh studying in classes 6 to 10. Eligibility requirements comprise:
- Belonging to a minority community with a family income not exceeding INR 1 Lakh annually.
- Maintaining a minimum attendance of 75%.
4. Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority Community Students, Andhra Pradesh
Similar to the pre-matric scholarship, this is available for minority community students pursuing studies from class 11 to PG level, meeting criteria such as:
- Family income not exceeding INR 1 Lakh per annum.
- Minimum attendance of 75%.
5. Veda Vyasa Scheme for Vedic Education (VV-VE), Andhra Pradesh
Designed for Brahmin Community students aged 8 to 19 pursuing full-time Vedic courses in registered institutions. Eligible candidates must enroll in specified institutions.
6. Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence (GS-AE) Andhra Pradesh
Topper students from various educational levels within the Brahmin Community are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must not receive any other scholarship.
7. Bharati Scheme for Education (BSE), Andhra Pradesh
Open to Brahmin Community students pursuing education from class 1 to postgraduation, with family income not exceeding INR 3 Lakh per annum. Additional provisions are made for differently-abled students.
8. NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Scholarship Scheme for BC and EBC Students
Available for BC and EBC category students aged under 35 pursuing postgraduate or PhD degrees abroad in specified fields.
9. Chandranna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
For economically weak Kapu Community students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad. Applicants must meet specific income and eligibility criteria.
10. NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme
For various communities, this scholarship supports students preparing for civil services exams, with specific age and income criteria.
11. Combined Counselling Board (CCB) Scholarship, Andhra Pradesh
Open to students from class 10 to graduation with a minimum qualifying mark.
12. Vidyadhan – Andhra Intermediate Scholarship Program
Exclusively for students of Andhra Pradesh who have passed class 10/SSLC, with a specified family income limit.
