Age Limit
Candidates must be aged between 15 to 24 years as of February 10, 2024. There are relaxations for reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwD candidates.
Eligibility for NWR Railway Apprentice
To be eligible, applicants should have passed their Matriculation/10th class exams with a minimum of 50% marks and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Selection Process and Stipend Details
The selection process involves screening and scrutiny of applications, without any written test or interview. The final selection will be based on a merit list, which considers the average percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation/SSC/10th and ITI. Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the norms of the Apprentice Act 1961.
Application Fee and Submission Process
The application fee is ₹100 for General/OBC candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted. Payment must be made online. To apply, candidates need to submit their applications through the North Western Railway RRC Recruitment Portal from January 10, 2024. Along with the application, candidates must upload their photograph, signature, and requisite documents like Date of Birth certificate, SSC, ITI Mark Sheet, NCVT/SCVT, and Community Certificate. The last date for online application submission is February 10, 2024, up to 23:59 hours.
