Application Process
Aspiring apprentices are encouraged to follow these steps:
- Download the application form from the DRDO’s official portal (https://drdo.gov.in) under the ‘What’s New’ section.
- Complete the application and send it to the Director of DESIDOC at Metcalfe House, Delhi-110054.
- Applicants under reserved categories must provide certificates in the central government’s specified format to avail reservation benefits.
Eligibility and Selection
Candidates up to 28 years of age are eligible, with age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Selection will be based on merit through written tests or interviews. It’s imperative for candidates to register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal before applying.
Important Notes
- The application deadline is 21 days from the date of the advertisement on the DRDO website.
- Applicants who have previously completed an apprenticeship or passed their qualifying exams before 2022 are not eligible.
- Post-apprenticeship, there is no guarantee of employment within DRDO.
