CSIR UGC NET December 2023 – Provisional Answer Key update

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the provisional answer key for UGC-NET December 2023, opening applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor. Candidates meeting eligibility criteria can review the details below and proceed to apply online.

Application Fee:
– General Candidates: Rs. 1100/-
– General-EWS/OBC-Non Creamy Layer Candidates: Rs. 550/-
– SC/ST/Third Gender Candidates: Rs. 275/-
– PWD Candidates: Nil

Payment Mode: Through Debit/Credit Card/UPI or Internet Banking via any of the SBI/ICICI payment gateways.

– Starting Date to Apply Online & Payment Fee: 01-11-2023
– Last Date to Apply Online: 04-12-2023 up to 05:00 PM
– Last Date for Payment of Fee: 04-12-2023 up to 11:50 PM
– Correction in the Particulars of Application Form (online only): 06-12-2023 to 08-12-2023
– Date for Exam: 26 to 28-12-2023
– City Intimation Slip: To be announced later through the website
– Downloading of Admit Card by the Candidate from NTA Website: To be announced later through the website
– Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT)
– Duration of Examination: 180 minutes (03 hours)
– Timing of Examination: Will be Announced on NTA Website

Upper Age Limit (as on 01-07-2023):
– For JRF: Maximum 28 years
– For LS/Assistant Professorship: No upper age limit
– Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Qualification:

– Candidates should possess M.Sc. or an equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
– B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% (without rounding off) marks for General (UR)/General-EWS; 50% (without rounding off) marks for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
– B.E./B.S./B.Tech./B.Pharma/MBBS final year/result awaited candidates are eligible to apply for fellowship only. These candidates will not be eligible for Lectureship/Assistant professor. B.Sc. (Hons.) final year/Result awaited candidates are not eligible to apply.
