Civil Services Exam is conducted by the central recruiting agency of India, Union Public Services Commission, for recruitment to the All India government services posts and other posts of Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Administrative Services (IAS), and Group A services Indian Revenue Services (IRS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), etc., is conducted.
The IAS exam is conducted yearly to fill up the vacancies that are created in the respective services. Bureaucracy is one of the most sought-after career options in India, especially to become Indian Administrative service office due to the power, prestige, responsibilities, and also the respect attached to it. UPSC publishes the criteria for candidates to appear in the civil services exam in the official notification issued by UPSC 2 to 3 months before the respective year’s preliminary exam.
