Bihar STET Recruitment 2019:
Bihar State Education Board (BSEB) has canceled the exam of the Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2019 held on 28 January 2020. The written exam was held in two shifts across 317 exam centers of State. In total, 2,47,421 candidates had appeared for the exam. There were incidents of rage and anger over the out of syllabus question paper leading to candidates walkout from the hall. The question papers were also found to be leaked as images clicked on the phone. The exam papers were taken outside the hall due to which a committee was formed.
The investigation committee confirmed its decision to annul the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2019 exams.
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) had released the recruitment notification for 37335 posts of Teacher (Secondary teacher – 25270, Senior Secondary teacher – 12065) to teach in Secondary (9th and 10th Class) and Senior Secondary (11th & 12th Class) government schools of the state. The selection of Bihar Teacher was to be done on the basis of the Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2019. The subjects for which teachers were required include- Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, commerce, computer science, English, Hindi, History, Maths, Sanskrit and Urdu.
