UGC NET June 2012 was no doubt the most controversial exam of the year. Commission made changes after declaring the result to selection criteria which forced students to go to court. As according to final Decision of Supreme Court, UGC has withdrawn its decision to increase cut-off marks for clearing the NET. Although there is no official written confirmation from the Commission regarding this, many believe that UGC will be announcing the revised result again fr June 2012 candidates somewhere between 15 January 2013 to 30 January 2013. I was appeared in UGC NET June 2012 examination and successfully qualify the all three papers. My detail of is as follows:
Roll No. 73590011 subject: Library Science (59)
Paper I marks %: 42 %
Paper II marks %: 40 %
Paper III marks %: 54.67 %
Aggregate marks: 46.86 %
According to following news “The SC decision is valid for all candidates who sat for the June 2012 exam. The old cut-offs will be considered and new results will be announced” kindly provide information regarding my result / selection.

(T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR, JUDGE) OF KERAL HIGH COURT IN HIS DECISION SAID:-
53. Therefore, the fixing of the higher aggregate marks as 65%, 60%
and 55% for three categories, that too just before the announcement of the
result, cannot be justified as the same is not supportable in law in the light
of the principles already discussed. What was absent in the regulation
cannot be introduced at the fag end of the examination, just before the
announcement of the result, whatever may be the justification for the same.
54. In the light of the above, the writ petitions are allowed. The
proceedings fixing the category-wise qualifying criteria for Lectureship
eligibility impugned in the writ petitions, is quashed. It is declared that all
the petitioners who have obtained the separate minimum prescribed in the
notification for Papers I, II and III, have cleared the NET and appropriate
follow up actions will be taken to issue certificates to them within one
month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. No
costs.

Paper-I, II & III) of 65% for `General category, 60% for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and
55% for SC/ST/PWD category candidates (This is the same criterion as decided by
the earlier Moderation Committee).

Those candidates who figure among top 7% of all the candidates who appeared in
NET; this shall be calculated separately for each discipline and for each category

As per New Criteria for June-2012 the cut off will be lesser than what was there in the earlier like aggregate marks 65,60,55 for GC,BC,SC respectively. UGC is applying the December-2012 criteria for June-2012 also because in the earlier they have selected only 7.5% people and now UGC agreed to select another 7% candidates to meet top 15% of June-2012. Another 45,000 candidates are having the chances of qualifying in UGC NET June-2012

The news report, ‘SC relief to NET candidates’, which was published on page 3 of The Times of India, Pune edition, on December 24, 2012, and said that the UGC’s decision to increase the cut-off marks by 15% for clearing the national eligibility test (NET) had been scrapped, is incorrect. SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT
A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Tuesday declined to stay a single judge’s order quashing the University Grants Commission’s (UGC)’s new eligibility criteria for the National Eligibility Test.
The Bench comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice K. Vinod Chandran posted an appeal filed by the UGC to February 5 for final hearing.
The Single Judge had also directed the UGC to grant certificates to candidates who had obtained the minimum mark prescribed earlier.

UGC played a game to misinform the candidates that the matter is resolved at Supereme Court and the resul will be edited in term of old creteria . The news item in The Times Of India Pune edition is most probabely planted by the UGC. They are playing tricks with the candidates so that the time limit to file a W.P. is over and then they shall defend themselves on point of limitation.

NET is an eligibility test and it is unconstitutional to change Test guidelines each time as more candidates are passing it. I am waiting for Dec 2012 result. NAGPUR: The NET/JRF aspirants have challenged the supplementary results of their examination conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) on June 24 last year. There was much hue and cry over tough results declared by UGC on September 18 leading to declaration of supplementary results on November 12 by applying new eligibility criteria.
A high court division bench of justices Avinash Lavande and Arun Chaudhari on Wednesday directed the UGC to reply before March 18 which was also fixed as next date of hearing.

The Times of India Ha published its correction regarding ugc net june 2012 result which is stated as – ?The news report, ?SC relief to NET candidates?, which was published on page 3 of The Times of India, Pune edition, on December 24, 2012, and said that the UGC?s decision to increase the cut-off marks by 15% for clearing the national eligibility test (NET) had been scrapped, is incorrect. There was a mistake while collating the information. We apologise for the error.?
however the decision is still pending in supreme court. just keep up hopes
