Dear sir,
I would like to draw all of your attention. Though I have passed AG III FCI exam that held on 05th February, 2012 but I could not appear in the exam as I have recieved my admit card on 16th April 2012 instead of recieving it few days before the exam that was to be held on 15th of April 2012
All my efforts have gone in vain. Now the question arise from my heart that who will be responsible for such a suicide mistake ? I have not yet got any response from any official

CPT mein MS world, Excel and Powerpoint par assignments diye jayenge. Please do the following things before turning up for CPT:

1. MS Word – Mail merge, Formatting(alignments, adding tables)
2. MS Excel – Basic Formulaes(Sum, Average etc.)
3. Powerpoint – Running Slide Show with animations with specific timer set.

I have qualified for technical post . I was expecting 175 and the cut off for gen is 174.25 will I be able to make it for final selection, as many candidate have qualified for two or three posts.

@SAMPATH you have very fair chances of final selection if you clear the CPT prepare well becoz most of the candidates will be sorted out, as CPT is not easy to qulify.

Hi, during document verification, one of the certificates got rejected becoz it ws not the one they asked for and i was asked to submit it within 7 days. Should i post attested document to the regional centre or do i need to go to the office in person? And if i send it by post will it reach to the concerned right person on time.? I tried calling the office but either is no answer or its always engaged.. Pliz reply

Leema, you must submit the document within the prescribed time limit, and also you need to go to the concerned regional office of the SSC in person. You should not send your document via post as it will take time and there will be a risk of not reaching the document to the right person. Do not get into confusion and do as I say if you want to avoid trouble related to your candidature in future.

there was a passage and an excel sheet to be prepared, and there was a bit of calculation in it like addition and %age increase….although i am done with my CPT but still i m kinda confused.
In northern region they started CPT from 14th June itself…..dont know what ws their criteria to call people for CPT…..but i m sure it was not called in d order of roll number

Cpt is only quallifying . Its not carry any marks .cpt is not a test to eleminate the aespirents so I think the qualling marks will 50%or less in both word and excle. What is your opinion……share with me at gaurav7960@gmail.com

any how you have to complete the paragraph in type test, a word or 5 alphabets mistake will cost you 1% deduction. and for general only 5% mistakes are allowed.. so i think one who hasn’t been able to finish the paragraph by one or two lines have a very little chance to crack the nut

in cpt , ssc will calculate the marks obtained in word processing module seperete and marks obtained in module of excel seperately and after that they will add total marks obtained in both modules. a candidate who score 40 percent he will be qualify the cpt exam . and the final selection is based on the total marks obtained in previous papers. there is no boundation to complete 100% correct any of them module like word processing and excel . only 40% marks required in this exem to qualify
some people say that only 3% errors allow in this exam that is totally wrong there is no information in anywhere for special fci computer profficiency test , they are telling on the basis of information of data entery and steno profficiency test. if anyone have such information yet he can send on anil_silmst2005@rediffmail.com

My excel was gud except for the highlighting ,i did all, but i hav doubts for the passage because i hav errors mostly due to hard keyboard which missed some letters if i typed softly. Btw, Did anybody feel that the passage contained less than 2000 keys?.It was more like around 1800 or maybe iam mistaken.. Iam really worried if i’ll get thro or not because of the 40-50 Key errors in passage.is it enough to fail me?

if u go to the candidate’s corner in ssc website….it shows that the test in word would be used for screening the candidates and only those who qualify the word test. their excel sheet would be checked……and no marks would be allocated for any of the two…….the candidate is either in or out.

It is not one of those categories which used to be published by the FCI for Management Trainee(MT) posts…. Is it? I have seen people confusing this cadre with MT. Leema if you done 40% aggregate in both parts of the skill test you will surely qualify this test after that you will be selected on the basis of the merit
their is no such system in ssc to pass every part of examination papers like banking
the aggregate 40% marks (in word and in excel) are required in this exam , if any one have a information that show that their will be qulaify each section of cpt that can share that information with link

Result of Computer proficiency and Final Merit list Of FCI 2012
The CPT of the all the candidates who got success in paper two have been conducted at various regional centres of SSC. Now the final result will be declared after consolidation of CPT test result submitted by all the SSC’s . As per the SSC chief twit the result will be declared on or before 15 Aug 2012.

How the result will be prepared
As per the information result will be prepared on the basis of the result of the all qualify candidates of CPT’s . CPT is only qualify nature and marks obtain by candidate will not be included in the merits but the candidates who does not qualify in CPT test they will not be considered for final results . The final result basically depend upon the merits of the marks obtain by candidates in Tier-1 and Tier-II. This is unofficial information actual information we come to know only when the final result will be declared.

Date Of Result ,what are the chances of the candidates
As per ssc the result FCI Assistan AD iii and other category will be declared on or before 15 Aug 2012.
Chances of candidates getting success are more as 25% candidates does not appear for CPT examinations and those who appear it is expected 25% will be out in CPT. Left over 50% candidates will be selected on the basis of merits and vacancies. So we expecting the candidate who get qualify in CPT his/her get selected are more.

no you could not disqulify on basis of only this error, if you done other things like font should be arial, size should be 12 and the heading font size was 14 and bold and underlined. the result row should be highlighted in light brown colour, and data in the row should be centerly aligned, and the formula should be correct with the right result, and the cells of the heading should be merged according to question paper.
so these are the parts to evaluate the excel sheet according to my knowledge. there are separate marks for each thing. and if you have only one error in there things you will sulrely qualify. and if you are unable to do 40% in these things you will not qualify.

if you qualify in screening in typing and after you qualify in excel with fourty percent you will surely qualify cpt. the screening means that they will take upper two or three thousand candidates in word processing test and after that they will check the excel sheet of candidates.

Hi All,

Congratulations to all who made it to the final list! For technical cadre there are 1450 candidates selected against 1497 posts. In answer to your question Jo, SSC has recommended these candidates to FCI for appointment. This is the final list of selected candidates. That means if you are listed in this list, you are eligible for appointment in FCI. So instead of listening to rumours just have fun and wait for next update about joining date from SSC/FCI. Or may be prepare for other upcoming exams…

@ dev – friend your score was a good one ….. if still u have not been appointed then check the column of mistakes in module 1 and the marks in module 2 , because these are the only two regions where something could have gone wrong…. at the score u got….

@Don – The list published by SSC is the final list of selected candidates and all these candidates are eligible for Job at FCI. As far as the salary is concerned it will be of the IDA pay-scale of 9300 – 22400 for AG III. It’s equivalent to the clerical posts in central govt. For AG III initial gross salary will vary between 17,000 – 19000.

@Vipin- Information which I could collect from my resources says that from AG III you get accelerated promotions to AG II & AG I but after that promotions are less frequent. But looking at the current requirement and the pace of recruitment I am hoping that people joining FCI now would definitely have fair chances of growth.

Hi,
1) there will not be any interview
2)A person working in FCI told me

we will get the call letters as soon – as possible.. Because from FCI they have been asking SSc to complete the process quickly because they need people very urgently ……..
then we will have a month training and then we will be allotted post …..then only we will know where we will work

Technical work…
we will most probably be posted in depots and godowns ..
We have to check the quality of stored materials frequently and make the labours take necessary actions if anything is needed…
the big problems is for female candiates is to
Work with labours… ( not possible to make them do the work
and crude language they use)
Depots will far away from cities and main places and travelling will be a problem for female candidates ……
best is general categories because it’s fully office work located mainly in cities…
both depot and technical cadres( female) will be difficult.
but allowances are good….and you get promotions very quick than other departments ….

depend on ur interests….ESIC UDC is clerical post and deals with office work while for fci(depot) u hav to looks into all matters relating to distribution, storage etc which requires lot of hard work. u compare both job post pay scale and benefits, fci is autonomous body. consult any employess u may know for suggestions.
see whether u will be posted and decide accordingly.

u have some time bfore joining as u can wait for next notification for fci training and appointment. also its confirmed that u will get posted in ur native place in fci also. gen and depot dept doesnt hav much difference on question between comparison of ESIC & FCI , and it maybe a hard choice. i personally think fci is good option but it differ person to person. wtever option u choose, u do it on ur preference and future prospect. best of luck.

FCI will issue call letters to each candidate from thereof.. But The dates of issual of these call letters cant be predicted as of now at all. The only hope is that FCI is really running short of employees which was made clear by Union Minister for state recently. So we can expect it soon…

@Tinu- UDC offers a better net salary (in hand) than FCI, as i have come to know till now… i hav also been selected in both fci and esic udc… For now i am going for UDC, as FCI will take a little bit time to do the same… reason, its in my home town and its a good job too……

Hey Ravi,

It seems that FCI will be sending the Call Letters by the end of October or November beginning. Ideally they should be giving a month’s time before joining. So you can give your notice in the beginning of October to be on the safer side. Because if you get a month’s time before joining, it’s well and good but in case they give only 15 days time before joining it will be difficult to serve the notice. So please plan accordingly.

Hi Shruti,

Nomination for SSCNR is under process. I visited the SSCNR office and I have been told that appointment letter dispatch will take 1 or 1.5 month after nomination is received by FCI. I am hoping to get the appointment letter in mid of Dec 2012 and joining in Jan 2013 max. You can check it with SSCNR office too.
