Sakshat is being touted as India’s answer to Nicholas Negroponte’s famed OLPC laptop who started the mission One Laptop per child. The process of making Sakshat available in all Government colleges will start within a month,Sibal added. :: A Short Review On Sakshat ::Sakshat , The $35 Tablet gadget is supposedly said to be running on Google’s Android OS with a virtual keyboard, camera, full video capability, Wi-Fi for browsing, an e-reader, and 2GB RAM.The touchscreen is said to be a bit slow responsive but it all goes fair for such a low priced device. World’s current cheapest Tablet/Laptop are HP TouchPad for $99 & Amazon’s Kindle Fire for $199 . In India, tablets currently start from $99 for Pepper, a tablet launched last month by Devraj group of companies. The Wespro ePad is also available at Rs 7,000.All are much expensive than Sakshat but still lacks many of features which Sakshat provides in such a low end price tag.
